We take data protection seriously

The protection of your privacy during the processing of personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web servers automatically record the IP address of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the pages on our website you visit and the date and duration of your visit. This information is absolutely necessary for the technical transmission of the web pages and the secure server operation. A personalized evaluation of this data does not take place.

If you send us data via contact form, this data will be stored on our servers in the course of data backup. Your data will only be used by us to process your request. Your data will be treated strictly confidential. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data about your person. This includes your name, address and email address. You also do not have to disclose any personal information to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address and other information to provide you with the service you requested.

The same applies if we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your enquiries. In these cases we will always point this out to you. In addition, we only store data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

If you use one of our services, we usually only collect the data necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for further information, which is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial goals.

Automatically stored data

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • Page from which the file was requested.
  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • web browser and operating system used
  • complete IP address of the requesting computer
  •  transferred data volume

This data will not be merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
For reasons of technical security, in particular to prevent attempts to attack our web server, we store this data for a short period of time. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymised at domain level by shortening the IP address so that it is no longer possible to establish a reference to the individual user. In addition, the data is processed anonymously for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data or passed on to third parties, even in excerpts.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard drive. Only the Internet protocol address is stored here - no personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows you to be automatically recognized the next time you visit our website, which makes it easier for you to use. The legal basis for the use of cookies is the legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognised the next time you visit, you can also refuse to use cookies by changing the settings in your browser to "refuse cookies". The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your browser. If you reject the use of cookies, however, there may be restrictions in the use of some areas of our website.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager does not collect personally identifiable information. The tool triggers other tags that may themselves collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it will persist for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. Google's privacy policy for this tool can be found at: www.google.de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Google Analytics with anonymization function

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google", on our site. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Google in the United States.

We use Google Analytics with the addition "_gat._anonymizeIp" on our website. In this case, your IP address will already be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymized.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Google will not, according to its own specifications, associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

In addition, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over which data Google collects about the websites you visit. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, Google Analytics' deactivation add-on for browsers does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information on installing the Browser Add-on, please click on the link below: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

If you visit our site from a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must click this link instead: Deactivate Google Analytics. This prevents Google Analytics from tracking you within this site in the future and can also be used as an alternative to the above browser add-on. Clicking the link will set an opt-out cookie in your browser that is only valid for that browser and domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted so that you must click the link again.

If you have consented to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google Account and using information from your Google Account to personalize ads, Google will use your information in conjunction with Google Analytics data to create cross-device remarketing audience lists. Google Analytics first collects your Google-authenticated ID, which is associated with your Google Account (i.e., personally identifiable information), on our website. Google Analytics will then temporarily associate your ID with your Google Analytics data in order to optimize our target audiences.

If you don't agree, you can opt out by setting your preferences in the "My Account" section of your Google Account.

Woopra

We use the statistic tool Woopra (for further information please visit www.woopra.com). This tool enables us to make our Internet offer more user-friendly, as this tool provides us with the country and region of origin, the operating system used, the browser used and the resolution used. These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is stored on Woopra's servers. Woopra will not make this data accessible to third parties (Woopra data protection declaration).

Furthermore, we evaluate the IP addresses of visitors to determine whether commercial access has taken place. We reserve the right to submit our range of services to potential customers on the basis of the information obtained.

YouTube in privacy-enhanced data protection mode

We use the provider YouTube for the integration of videos. The videos were embedded using the privacy-enhanced data protection mode. Like most websites, however, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. YouTube uses these cookies to collect video statistics, prevent fraud, and improve usability, among other things. This also leads to a connection with the Google DoubleClick network. When you start the video, it may trigger further data processing. We have no control over this. For more information about privacy at YouTube, please see their privacy policy at: www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube

Google Doubleclick

Doubleclick by Google is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to show you advertisements that are relevant to you. A pseudonymous identification number (ID) is assigned to your browser to check which ads were displayed in your browser and which ads were viewed. The cookies do not contain any personal information. The use of DoubleClick cookies only allows Google and its affiliates to serve ads based on previous visits to our or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there. Google complies with the privacy provisions of the Privacy Shield Agreement and is registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Privacy Shield program. Google will only transfer the data to third parties on the basis of statutory provisions or within the framework of order data processing. Under no circumstances will Google combine your data with other data collected by Google.

By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and the data processing methods and purposes set out above. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies and related to your use of the websites and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link under the DoubleClick deactivation extension. Alternatively, you can also deactivate the DoubleClick cookies with this opt-out.

Website user account

As a visitor to the website, you have the opportunity to set up a password-protected website user account in order to gain access (after activation) to protected content and functions of the website. As the owner of a website user account, you can update your contact details or delete the website user account yourself. You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make them accessible to unauthorised third parties. We cannot accept any liability for misused passwords, unless we are responsible for the misuse.
With the function "stay logged in" we would like to make your visit to our website as pleasant as possible. This function enables you to use our services without having to log in again each time. For security reasons, however, you will be asked to enter your password again if, for example, your personal data is to be changed. We recommend that you do not use this function if the computer is used by several users. We would like to point out that the "Remain logged in" function is not available if you use a setting that automatically deletes stored cookies after each session.

Newsletter

For the dispatch of the newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have expressly confirmed to us beforehand that we should activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification e-mail and ask you to confirm that you wish to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link contained in this e-mail. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of subscription. This storage serves only as proof in the event that a third party misuses your e-mail address to register you without your knowledge or your authorization to receive the newsletter. Should you no longer wish to receive newsletters from us at a later date, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs.

Security

We have taken technical and administrative security precautions to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees and service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security precautions are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection declarations are constantly revised. Please make sure that you have the latest version.

Rights of the individuals affected

You have the right at any time to information, correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your stored data, a right of objection to the processing as well as a right to data transfer and a right of complaint in accordance with the requirements of data protection law.

Right to information:
You can request information from us as to whether and to what extent we process your data.

Right to correction:
If we process your data that is incomplete or incorrect, you can demand that we correct or complete it at any time.

Right to deletion:
You can demand that we delete your data if we process it unlawfully or if the processing disproportionately interferes with your legitimate protection interests. Please note that there may be reasons that prevent an immediate deletion, e.g. in the case of legally regulated storage obligations.
Irrespective of the exercise of your right to deletion, we will delete your data immediately and completely, insofar as there is no legal or statutory obligation to retain data in this respect.

Right to limitation of processing:

You can demand that we restrict the processing of your data if

  •     You dispute the accuracy of the data for a period of time that allows us to verify the accuracy of the data.
  •     the processing of the data is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and instead demand a restriction on the use of the data,
  •     we no longer need the data for the intended purpose, but you still need this data to assert or defend legal claims, or
  •     you have objected to the processing of the data.

Right to data transfer:
You may request that we make available to you the data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format and that you may transfer this data to another responsible person without our obstruction, provided that

  •     we process this data on the basis of your given and revocable consent or for the fulfilment of a contract between us, and
  •     such processing is carried out using automated procedures.

If technically feasible, you may request us to transfer your data directly to another responsible party.

Right of objection:
If we process your data for legitimate reasons, you may object to such processing at any time; this would also apply to profiling based on these provisions. We will then no longer process your data unless we can prove compelling grounds for processing worthy of protection which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can object to the processing of your data for the purpose of direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.

Right of appeal:
If you are of the opinion that we violate German or European data protection law when processing your data, please contact us in order to clarify any questions. Of course, you also have the right to contact the supervisory authority responsible for you, the respective state office for data protection supervision.

If you wish to assert any of the above rights against us, please contact our data protection officer. In case of doubt, we can request additional information to confirm your identity.
